Step-by-step guides for every stakeholder on the Shule Central platform.

Teachers — TeachTab

TeachTab is the primary tool for teachers and school administrators. It handles everything from daily classroom operations to term-end reports.

1. Sign up and create your school

Go to TeachTab and create an account. During setup you'll register your school — give it a name, set your address, and configure your academic calendar. This becomes the home for all your school's data.

2. Set up academic structure

Under Academic Setup, create your academic years and terms. Then add grade levels (e.g. P.1–P.7, S.1–S.6) and define classes within each grade. This structure drives everything else — attendance, marks, and reports.

3. Add subjects and teachers

Register your teaching staff and assign subjects to each teacher. Subjects can be drawn from the national curriculum catalog or created manually. Teachers only see the subjects assigned to them.

4. Enroll students

Add students individually or import in bulk. Each student is enrolled into a class and a term. Student profiles include contact details for their family.

5. Record attendance and marks

Teachers record daily attendance per class and enter assessment marks per subject. Marks can be split into continuous assessment and terminal exams. The system calculates totals and class positions automatically.

6. Generate reports

At term end, generate individual student report cards. For government-format reports (AMIS), use AmisFiller which reads your marks and exports a compliant sheet ready to print.

Students — StudyTab

StudyTab gives students a clean, focused view of their academic life — materials, timetables, and results — without overwhelming them with administrative features.

1. Accessing StudyTab

Students receive login credentials from their school. Visit StudyTab and sign in. Your school and class are pre-configured — you won't need to set anything up.

2. Viewing your timetable

Your weekly class timetable is displayed on the dashboard. It reflects what your school administrator has configured for your class and term.

3. Study materials

Teachers upload lesson notes, exercises and reference materials to each subject. You'll find these under each subject in your dashboard, organised by topic.

4. Checking results

Once your teacher has entered and released marks, you can view your results per subject and per term. Your class position is shown alongside your scores.

School Owners — Admin & Accounts

School owners and platform administrators use the Admin tool for system-level management and Accounts for identity and billing.

1. Register your institution

From Admin, create a new school entry. Supply official school details — name, registration number, district, and type. This links to TeachTab where teachers will operate.

2. Provision staff accounts

Under Users, create teacher and administrator accounts. You can set specific roles and permissions per user — for example, allowing a deputy headteacher to access reports but not billing.

3. Monitor school activity

The Admin overview shows active schools, user counts, and recent activity. You can drill into a specific school to see its academic structure, student count and token usage.

4. Manage billing via Accounts

Accounts handles token balances, subscription status, and payment history. Tokens can be purchased in bundles and are shared across all staff in your school.

AmisFiller — Automated Report Cards

AmisFiller solves the most painful part of term-end: filling government mark sheets. It reads your marks from TeachTab and produces AMIS-compliant outputs in minutes.

1. Ensure marks are complete in TeachTab

Before running AmisFiller, confirm that all subject marks for the term are entered and saved in TeachTab. AmisFiller reads from your live school data.

2. Open AmisFiller

Go to AmisFiller and sign in with the same account you use for TeachTab. Select your school, the academic year, and the term you want to generate for.

3. Select subjects and class

Choose the class (e.g. P.7A) and the subjects to include. You can include all subjects or a subset. Preview the mark sheet before generating.

4. Generate and export

Click Generate. AmisFiller uses tokens for this operation (one token bundle covers a full class). The output is a print-ready PDF or Excel file formatted to the government specification.

Curriculum Bodies — Curriculum Tool

The Curriculum tool is for national curriculum bodies and institutional curriculum designers to define, manage and distribute learning frameworks.

1. Define education levels

Start by setting up education levels (e.g. Primary, O-Level, A-Level). Each level can have grade bands and subject groupings.

2. Build subject catalogs

Create the official list of subjects per level. These catalogs are referenced by schools when they set up their TeachTab — ensuring consistent subject naming and codes.

3. Map learning units

For each subject, define the learning units, strands, and topics that make up the curriculum. Teachers can align their lesson plans to these units.

4. Assessment frameworks

Define how subjects should be assessed — weighting of continuous assessment vs terminal exams, grading scales, and pass criteria. These defaults guide TeachTab when teachers enter marks.

Tokens & Advanced Features

Tokens are Shule Central's lightweight pay-as-you-go system. The core platform is free forever — tokens unlock high-cost operations like bulk exports and AI features.

What counts as a token operation?

Operations that are computationally intensive or produce significant value use tokens. This includes: generating AmisFiller report cards (1 token per class per term), bulk Excel/PDF exports, AI-assisted lesson planning, and advanced analytics reports.

How to get tokens

Some tokens are awarded automatically — for example, when you complete your school profile or reach a usage milestone. Additional tokens can be purchased from the Accounts subdomain in affordable bundles sized for small and large schools.

Checking your balance

Your token balance is visible in the TeachTab header. Administrators can see a breakdown of which operations consumed tokens and by which staff member, from the Accounts billing page.

Tokens never expire

Purchased tokens do not expire. You can use them at any time, on any supported operation, across any of your school's staff members.
